Vibrant Floral Save the Dates & LarsLove Updates

Today I am sharing with you a project that is very close to my heart. One of my invitation design clients happens to also be a dear friend. Tricia and I will be bridesmaids in her July wedding. Because we are so close, designing save the dates and invitations for her wedding seems almost as if I am designing them for myself. Her colors are fuchsia and orange, which I LOVE for a hot summer wedding! I definitely don’t mind the addition of an adorable fuchsia bridesmaid dress to my closet either. 😉 I wanted to keep the typography simple and fresh to allow for the addition of some fun floral stamps. They really became the star of the show. I layered stamping orange and fuchsia flowers (embossing the fuchsia ones). I think they turned out really vibrant and beautiful, just like the bride!

70 of them! Woohoo! Definitely a labor of love!

I can’t wait to get to work on the invitations!

If you are visiting the blog today, you probably noticed the new theme and set-up. I am really excited about the new layout because it is designed to help showcase designs and works of art. Hopefully this will help me strike a balance between showing you may latest projects and sharing funny stories! You also might notice the new LarsLove logo on my header. I LOVE it. I purchased some adorable owl and floral clipart from The Ink Nest on etsy.com. She had draws/paints her art and then renders it on the computer. I am obsessed with her work!

  1. Wow! Lynsey, these are beautiful!!! If this was your first time stamping and embossing you did an amazing job!! The colors are just perfect! You totally make me want to expand to Save the Date cards!!

    • Thank you so much! I have played around a bit with stamping, but never to this extent. It was a nice departure from strictly digital designing. Definitely something I will be doing more of in the future!

  2. Oh, and your new website design is just beautiful!! Great job!! 🙂

I love Lindsey’s “Save the Date” card. I am her grandmother and am having a small brunch in her honor for our immediate families on March 18 (Sunday). I need 10 invitations. I would love to follow the same theme as the Save the Date card, printing the brunch date, time, address, etc.

Could you do this? I would need the invites by the 1 March 5 or 6. Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thanks.
